How it works
- Click "Resize an image now" and choose the picture you want to resize.
- The Image Size window opens automatically. Type a new width or height in pixels, or switch to percent.
- Keep "Keep proportions" ticked so the image isn’t stretched, and pick smooth scaling for photos or hard edges for pixel art.
- Click OK, then export with File › Export As and choose the format and quality.
Why use Brushvane
- Exact control: set pixels or percent, with or without keeping proportions.
- High-quality downscaling that avoids the jagged look of quick resizers.
- Ready-made sizes for Instagram, YouTube thumbnails, Facebook covers, LinkedIn banners and A4 when you start a new project.
- See the final file size before you download, so it fits upload limits.
- Private and free, with no watermark.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Brushvane runs entirely inside your browser tab. Your images are opened, edited and saved on your own device and are never sent to a server, so they cannot be seen, stored or reused by anyone else.
How do I resize without losing quality?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it much larger cannot invent detail that was never captured, so enlarge photos only as much as you need.
What is the difference between Image Size and Canvas Size?
Image Size scales the whole picture. Canvas Size changes the area around it without scaling, which is useful for adding borders or making room for text.
Can I resize to an exact size like 1080 by 1080?
Yes. Untick "Keep proportions" to set both numbers yourself, or crop the image to a square first so it doesn’t stretch.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use with no account, no watermark and no limit on the number of images.
