Open PSD files online
Received a layered PSD file but don’t have the software that made it? Brushvane opens PSD files right in your browser, shows every layer, and lets you make edits and export a normal image. The file is read on your own device and is never uploaded.

How it works
- Click "Open a PSD file" and choose the .psd file from your computer, or drag it onto the page.
- Browse the layers in the Layers panel: show or hide them, rename them, change opacity or blend mode.
- Make your edits with the brush, text, crop, adjustment and filter tools.
- Save back to PSD with File › Save as PSD, or export a flat PNG, JPG or WebP with File › Export As.
Why use Brushvane
- Layers, names, visibility, opacity and blend modes are preserved.
- Layer masks are applied when the file opens so the image looks the way it was designed.
- If a file uses features Brushvane doesn’t support yet, you get a clear note instead of a silent difference.
- Large files are parsed in the background so the page stays responsive.
- Your designs stay private: nothing is sent to a server.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Brushvane runs entirely inside your browser tab. Your images are opened, edited and saved on your own device and are never sent to a server, so they cannot be seen, stored or reused by anyone else.
Which PSD features are supported?
Pixel layers, groups, visibility, opacity, the common blend modes, layer masks and 8, 16 and 32-bit images. Adjustment layers, layer styles and clipping masks are not supported yet; Brushvane tells you when a file uses them.
Can I edit text in a PSD?
Text layers from a PSD open as images so they look exactly right. You can add new, editable text layers on top with the Text tool.
Is there a file size limit?
Images up to 16,384 pixels on each side can be opened. Very large files depend on the memory available in your browser and device.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use with no account, no watermark and no limit on the number of images.
