Privacy Policy

Brushvane is a free image editor that runs in your web browser. It is operated by Suraj Sonawane, an individual based in India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information is and isn't processed when you use brushvane.com.

The short version

• Your images are never uploaded. They are opened, edited and saved entirely on your own device.
• We have no accounts and set no cookies.
• We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites.
• If the app crashes, it may send us a short technical error report that contains no images and no personal details.

Your images and documents

Everything you open in the editor — photos, PSD files and the documents you create — is processed by code running in your browser. These files are never uploaded or sent to us or anyone else. The AI background-removal feature also runs on your device: the AI model is downloaded to your browser and your photo is never uploaded.

Information stored on your device

To make the editor work, your browser stores some data locally. It never leaves your device and you can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings:

• IndexedDB: an automatic recovery copy of the document you are editing, and your list of recent files with small thumbnails.
• Cache Storage: the app's own files and the AI model, so the editor starts quickly and works offline.

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they view. It does not use cookies, does not use your browser's local storage, and does not build a profile of you. It records information such as the page address, the referring website, browser type and approximate country. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Error reports

When something goes wrong in the app, your browser may send us an error report so we can fix the problem. A report contains the error message, a technical stack trace, the page path (without any query string), the app version and your browser's user-agent string. It never contains your images, file names or document contents. Reports are kept in our hosting provider's logs for at most 7 days and then deleted automatically.

Why we process this information (lawful basis)

We process visitor statistics, error reports and technical delivery data on the basis of our legitimate interests in running a reliable, secure website and fixing problems. Where a law requires consent for something, we will ask before doing it.

Where information is processed

Cloudflare operates a global network, so technical data and error reports may be processed outside India and outside your own country, including in the United States. Cloudflare provides contractual safeguards for international transfers; see its privacy policy linked above.

Hosting and security

The website is delivered by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We do not use this information to identify you.

Advertising

The site does not currently show ads. If we introduce advertising, we will update this policy before doing so and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Children

Brushvane is a general-purpose tool and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data — including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the GDPR. These include the right to ask what data we hold about you and to have it corrected or erased. Because we do not collect your images or run accounts, we normally hold no data that identifies you. To make a request or raise a concern, contact our grievance contact below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EEA or UK, to your local data protection supervisory authority.
